Sustainably Adding Value to the Land

As agricultural commodities prices rocketed in recent years, more and more farmers are interested in farming practices designed to achieve fast yields. However, these farming practices often have an increasingly negative effect on the soils ecosystem, and ultimately lead to soil degradation and more reliance on synthetic nutrients. As a result, not only does the availability of high quality, productive land decrease, but also foods are left in poor quality and nutritional value as farmers only apply basic nutrients in order to reduce costs of fertilisers.

Greenleaf Global pays primary attention to sustainable value-adding to the agricultural land as it is the most important underlying asset that forms the basis of any yields from productive agriculture. By improving the soil quality in physical structure, nutritional value, and microbiological activity, we are able to provide the best environment for the plant to flourish, and therefore bear high quality product, which will ultimately add the most value to our land.

Each project undergoes extensive research and planning to develop a bespoke soil management program from soil, topographic and nutrient movement maps.

Local organic inputs, such as manures and composts, are tested and trialled to develop a custom 'prescription' management program completely removing costly, inefficient, and environmentally harmful synthetic inputs.

This intensive soil improvement program provides a foundation for stable, consistent plant yields but also dramatically improves the underlying asset value year on year.
